Let's Go Ice Skating. In the Backyard. For The New York Times

Photographing backyard hockey rinks or pond hockey is one of Tim’s favorite things to photograph so when we got this assignment for the New York Times to photograph a backyard hockey rink in Wisconsin we were thrilled. The laughter echoing across the frozen ice, and the sound of hockey skates carving through the ice are some of the best childhood memories you could make.  There's a magic that comes alive on an outdoor rink and even better when it happens to be in your backyard. A fun one for The New York Times and thankfully we had one week of cold enough weather before the rink turned back to grass.
