It’s the northernmost point on the Lower 48. It's so remote that it is the only county in the Lower 48 that doesn't have a single stoplight. So with the US/Canada border being shut since March because of the pandemic, driving up to Angle has not been possible so the resort owners had the idea to build a 27-mile ice road that would keep guests in Minnesota without having to cross over into Canada to get to them. In the end, it brought life and tourists back to the NW Angle and made for an epic assignment.
