Jenn and I often talk about how being a photographer is like being in the second grade with each assignment acting like a class field trip introducing us to new faces and places.
Recent assignments have felt like an endless class field trip that have had us traveling down dusty gravel roads in rural Minnesota to photograph the corn harvest for the Wall Street Journal. We’ve photographed a professor fighting cancer at a Wisconsin hospital for the US News & World Report. We photographed beauty queens in Brazil for the Miss Universe Organization. We photographed a young at heart 80-year old man who sang a mean rendition of We Will Rock You for the AARP Bulletin. We even biked to an assignment down the street to photograph a Grandma and her granddaughter.
All these assignments have brought us near and far and we can’t wait to do it again.
