People often joke that Minnesota along with being the land of 10,000 lakes is the land of 10,000 grants. While that’s a bit of an exaggeration we are very fortunate to live in a state that has some incredible resources and funding for artists. MRAC and the McKnight Foundation are two of the many organizations here that provide valuable financialĀ support to artists calling Minnesota home. It’s safe to say without their generous support the Minnesota arts scene would not be nearly as vibrant as it is today.
I received a $5,000 grant to finish my short-film Served Out: Aging and Dying Behind Bars. As part of the application process I produced a short-trailer for the film that I have yet to share. Feel free to watch it below. See the photos from the project here.
