David Lynch TV

Back from Vegas and trying to reconnect with what’s happening online. If I have energy I’ll post about the Vegas experience at a later date, but for now I’m happy to relax.

Randomly browsing the web tonight I found this site from the David Lynch Foundation. I have thousands of unread RSS feeds so I’m sure you may have already seen it but if not enjoy.

DLF.TV is debuting an exclusive interview series known as “Daily David” where David speaks candidly about anything and everything ranging from filmmaking to consciousness.

A few videos I watched and enjoyed so far:

Silence is a beautiful thing.

Music in Film.

Music has to marry to the picture.

I’ve linked to a podcast in the past on this but here’s another video on David talking about ideas being like fish.

David Lynch explains what to do with ideas that are dead ends.

The mechanics of creativity and how you can get more of it

  1. Thanks for this blogg post. Like you, I have discovered the DLF.tv web site and have enjoyed many of the DL videos. I really like the one where he is talking with Moby about creativity. It seems that Moby has learned Transcendental Meditation recently, having been inspired to do so by David, who has been doing it for years. And David is so quirky and fun, and mega-creative. I am looking forward to returning the DLF.tv site many times to see the next installments of videos. Enjoy!

  2. Haven’t watched the Moby one yet, but you’ve peaked my interest. Gonna check it out. Thanks.

  3. Thanks for the link, Tim! Whenever I’m looking for something inspirational to drag me out of the daily routine, I go to your blog, which proves to be a constant source of ideas. Thanks!

  4. David is really cool, and I love the fact that he does Transcendental Meditation, I mean, who would have thought? David is realy cool because he is totally himself, and now I guess I know what helps him bring all that creativity out, according to him it’s TM, TM , and more TM..

  5. David Lynch really surprises me. I am so impressed with how he has gotten behind Transcendental Meditation and created the David Lynch Foundation to help one million at-risk youth learn to meditate. The launch of ‘Daily David’ by DLF.tv is a great way for people to see how he’s helping change the world, and I hope people spend some time watching these videos. Thanks for posting this information!
