2008 Favorites Part I – Quartzsite, AZ

January 5, 2009 |  by Tim Gruber  |  Quartzsite, me  |

I’m going through my images from the past year and thought I’d throw up some of my favorite images from a few projects and assignments.

This is the first project I worked on in 2008 and it brought me to sunny and always pleasant Quartzsite, AZ. The little town(pop. 2000 some) is home to around a million snowbirds during the winter season. For those of you who don’t know snowbirds are generally older/retired people that migrate south to escape the cold northern winters. They’re also a group of people who are full of life and energy. If I was retired myself I’d probably be out there right now with a five iron in hand ripping up the desert golf course.

Here’s a few photos I liked from my time there. If you haven’t already view the whole project including a multimedia piece and more stills on my website.
