The first week comes to a close.

On Friday I closed out my first week here at Roanoke by heading to the Natural History Museum in Martinsville. The week flew by and if it’s any indication of the rest of my summer it’ll be over before I blink. I had the day off on Saturday and did normal things. (grocery shopping, laundry, etc.) Since being in grad school I haven’t been able to “turn off” in a long time. I also made my way up to Blacksburg to meet up with Chris(Jenn’s brother) to go out to eat for his birthday. It felt great to be on an internship and finally know someone outside the paper. Somehow I also managed to forget my wallet so Chris ended up paying for his own birthday meal….talk about feeling bad…..I’ll owe him a meal or two when I get back that way.
