Martin Parr Interview

May 4, 2007 |  by Tim Gruber  |  Uncategorized  |

Martin Parr talks about photography and has some great thoughts on Flickr being the demise of photo agencies like Getty and Corbis. A Flickr shooter got an advertising job over Bruce Davidson? Citizen journalism. Your family snapshots being a form of a propaganda. How boring and cliche a lot of amateur photography is and all the noise you have to sift through. He feels no threat from amateur photographers, but grateful to have a bigger audience for photography.

The interview mic used is horrendous so bare with it.
